Delightfully Cheesy Turkey Pasta Bake

We have so much turkey leftover from Thanksgiving. Like four freezer bags full to the rim leftover! Which is good because all I have to do is defrost a bag of already shredded turkey and add it to a casserole dish and voilĂ ! Dinner is done y'all.

Like my Delightfully Cheesy Turkey Pasta Bake, which is basically baked ziti. If you love carbs and cheese, you will without a doubt love this.

What you will need:

1 Bag of Egg Noodles
1 Large Bottle of  Pasta Sauce
2 cups of Ricotta Cheese
1 tablespoon of Basil
1/2 cup of Parmesan Cheese
1 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon of Crushed Red Pepper
1 1/2 pounds of Shredded Turkey
2 cups of  Shredded Mozzarella
Salt and Pepper to taste

I always prep my pasta sauce first. In a deep skillet or pot over medium heat add your pasta sauce, basil, crushed red pepper, garlic powder, Parmesan cheese, and your turkey. Bring to a simmer and add your salt and pepper to taste. Put a lid on your pot and lower your heat to low.

*You can skip this step completely if you purchased a nicer brand of sauce. I used an off brand and do this not only because it's cheaper but also because I can season it the way I like.

Once your pasta is cooked and drained add in your pasta sauce, ricotta, and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella and mix well. Transfer all of this goodness into a baking dish and add your final cup of shredded cheese on top. I actually think I added another handful and a little sprinkle of basil on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. "Cooks" always say let it cool for a couple of minutes, but my boyfriend said he was "dying from hunger"...

This would also be a yummy crock-pot dinner!

Delightfully yours,

Kandiss Dee
